| What's the difference between Linux and Windows hosting? |

| The main difference between our Linux and Windows plans is the programming languages they support. The Windows plan supports the languages ASP, and ASP.NET. The Linux plan supports PHP. Both plans fully support FrontPage, HTML, and JavaScript. |

| The fact that your web site was designed on the Macintosh should make no difference. FTP, the method you would use to put the files onto our servers is a standard protocol, which means that all FTP clients will work with all FTP servers. The web pages will look the same no matter what plan you chose. The web browser you use decides what the web page looks like and not the platform it is hosted on. |

| Which web traffic software do you use? |
| |
Each hosting account has graphical web statistics reports produced daily. These reports can be seen by logging in to your Control Panel and clicking on the Reports icon.
These statistics are generated by Webalizer. Should you require futher data, we provide BBclone in your Control Panel Application Vault. This requires you to add some code to your pages but can provide more detailed visitor analysis for you. |

| What is the timeframe for setup? |
| |
| Once your payment has been accepted via our automated signup, your hosting account will be set up automatically within 5 minutes. If you are registering a domain name, then this will take between 24 and 72 hours for the domain name to fully propagate. The long delay for domain registration is something we can't speed up, as it is a constraint of the domain name system. While you are waiting for the domain to be registered you can view your web site using a temporary URL. |

| Do I have to display any adverts or banners on my site? |

| NetPivotal doesn't force any customers to have banners or adverts on your site. Should you wish to display adverts from other sources we are happy for you to do so providing you don't violate our Acceptable Use Policy. |

| Will sites written with Java code work on your servers? |
| |
| You can include Java scripting on your pages hosted with Netpivotal. Java is a technology that works according to settings that your visitors have in their internet browser, so as long the function is turned on in their browser it will happily work. Please note that while we support Java code in pages we don't support Java applets. |

| How do I upload my site? |
| |
The main method of uploading files to your site's account is by using FTP. When you sign up with NetPivotal we give you an FTP account that lets you access files in your account (usually ftp.yoursitename.com, your main account name and password). Then you can use a built-in Windows or Internet Explorer FTP client, or some other software that supports FTP such as CuteFTP or WS_FTP, to transfer files from your hard drive to your account.
If you've designed your site using Microsoft Frontpage you can also use the Publish option to transfer your site onto the NetPivotal servers. |

| Do you host spammers or adult sites? |
| |
| NetPivotal does not host sites that contain adult content. We also have a zero-tolerance policy on spam or unsolicited email; any accounts found to be engaging in these activities will be cancelled. |

| Will I have SSH and/or Telnet access? |
| |
| We don't allow SSH or Telnet access on our shared hosting packages. If you need to change any settings that you might have used SSH for in the past you can raise a support ticket so our Technical team can assist you. |

| What backup and recovery features do you provide? Can you recover any file for me? |
| |
| We do not offer an automatic backup service. We expect you to handle your own backups. All the files on our server are backed up in case of hard drive failure or another critical fault but these backups are for internal use only and can not be used for customer restores. |

| Do you support Access 2003 and FrontPage 2003? |
| |
All our plans support FrontPage 2003. Our Windows plan supports ODBC connections to allow connection to Access 2003. If you did have any problems our technicians are there 24hours a day, 7 days a week to help you and in the unlikely event of them not being able to fix your problem, you can fall back on our 30 day money back guarantee.
We would like to also make all FrontPage users aware that Microsoft have with drawn all support for Microsoft FrontPage and they have replaced the product with Microsoft Expression. Our Newest servers are unable to support the use of FrontPage as Microsoft has withdrawn all support for the use of Microsoft FrontPage Extensions that we require to host your website. We do still have a number of servers that are able to host FrontPage websites so please do let us know if you have this specific requirement and our team will be able to assist you with this. |

| Do you support Tomcat / JSP applications? |

| At present we don't have Tomcat or JSP support, however we do fully support ASP, ASP.NET and PHP. |

| Do you support Coldfusion? |
| |
| Unfortunately NetPivotal does not support Coldfusion. |

| How long have you been in business? |

| NetPivotal have over five years experience in webhosting. |

| How can I pay for my hosting plan? |
| |
| Payments for all NetPivotal plans are processed by WorldPay, who accept all major credit and debit cards. Unfortunately we don't currently accept payments by Paypal. |

| Does NetPivotal offer web design services? |
| |
| We recommend Template Monster as an excellent source of ready-made websites that you can install on to your hosting account. NetPivotal doesn't design or provide editing services at this point in time. |

| Where do I find the statistics for my site? |
| |
| When you log in to your Control Panel there is an Icon at the top of the page marked "Reports". This gives you access to a comprehensive set of reports, including visitor statistics and FTP logs. |

| Do you have the Microsoft Data Access components on your Windows servers? |
| |
| Yes, we do have the Microsfot Data Access Components (MDAC) on our Windows servers, these allow connections to Access databases amongst other things. |

| Don't worry! Copies of your sign up emails are stored in your Account Manager as closed tickets. If you can't log in to your Account Manager please contact us using the NetPivotal contact page. |

We supply several different blog generators free of charge in our application vault. All of these can be installed in a few seconds to your hosting account, you'll be up and blogging in seconds!
